Nico Deportago-Cabrera began his career in cycling as a bike messenger in Chicago, IL in 2008. What started as a casual flirtation with the downtown hustle turned into an intensive immersion in the messenger culture and lifestyle.

Messenger work led to messenger races and those races became the foundation for an alternative approach to the traditional career as a professional cyclist.
